Can I convert .RAW files to .IPF so that an emulator can use them?

Currently the disk signal information (RAW files) can only be converted to the IPF form playable in emulators here at SPS.

The main reason is that it is really a very complicated process and several things have to be done before we will preserve a disk image anyway. Things like:

• Describing the disk format
• Ensuring that every part of the disk is described
• Ensuring there are no errors
• Ensuring that it has not been modified

Only then do we know that we have a disk image that is true to the original mastering and worth preserving.
