====== CTA (SPS Disk Image Analyser) ======

The "analyser" is a member of the SPS suite of preservation technologies.

Otherwise known as "the analyser". This is the tool that takes the disk image (raw signal information) produced by [[glossary:CT]] and provides the tool set that enables us to:

  *Analyse the structure of the [[glossary:custom disk format|disk format]] and [[glossary:copy protection|copy protection]]
  *[[:faq:technology:describing_disk_formats|Describe]] the disk format and protection
  *Create the [[glossary:IPF]] images
  *[[:article:importance_of_digital_preservation|Preserve]] the images in enterprise-grade backup facilities
